1. Gold Mine Ghost Train – Villa Rica, GA

2. Bennett Farms – Heflin, AL

Bennett Farms has fresh pumpkins, a corn crib, farm animals, and country cooking, making for a great fall day in the country. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the farm-related activities, including a hayride and a working syrup mill, and live music on Saturdays.

3. Steadman Farms – Tallapoosa, GA

Experience West Georgia farm life in the early 1800s at this 700-acre farm in Haralson County. Enjoy a corn maze, pumpkin patch, hay ride, and petting zoo. Finish your day with a marshmallow roast at the bonfire.

4. MeccaFest Fine Arts & Craft Festival – Carrollton, GA

See works by some of the finest artists in the country at this annual event. Free children’s activities and entertainment are provided and admission to the festival is free.

5. Fun Dog Show – Carrollton, GA

The Fun Dog Show is an annual fundraiser for the Carroll County Humane Society. Dogs can compete in several categories, including Best Kisser, Best Tail Wagger, Most Unique Looking, and Best Rescue.

6. Bremen Towne Festival – Bremen, GA

The annual Bremen Towne Festival, sponsored by the Bremen Junior Woman’s Club, brings arts and crafts and food vendors, games, and even a parade to downtown Bremen.

7. Cabin Life at Pickett’s Mill – Dallas, GA

Discover what fall was like on a small farm during the Civil War. This living history event includes cooking over a fire, black powder demonstrations, and historical toys and games displays.

8. Hot Rods on Main Car Show – Douglasville, GA

Cool hot rods, live music, and vendors fill the streets of historic downtown Douglasville for a night of fun. The event is free for visitors, and proceeds from the car show benefit the downtown development fund.

9. Great Pumpkin Caper – Buchanan, GA

Every year, area children carve pumpkins and display them on the lawn of the Old Haralson County Courthouse on the city’s historic square. Prizes are awarded in several categories. Downtown businesses and city offices also hand out candy, and there will be music and other activities for visitors to enjoy.

10. The Carrollton Fall Festival – Carrollton, GA

Bring your kids to trick or treat store to store at this Halloween morning festival. Businesses on Adamson Square are partnering with the Cultural Arts Department of the Carrollton Parks & Recreation to “haunt the square.” The square closes down for children’s safety, and the event will include games, inflatables, music, and a costume contest with prizes.
